Among these enigmatic figures is D, Hunter of the Dead, a stern knight dedicated to purging Those Who Live in Death. Knowing exactly where to locate D throughout his storyline allows players to access valuable Golden Order Incantations and crucial quest milestones.
First Encounter in Limgrave
Players typically first meet D in eastern Limgrave, situated just west of Summonwater Village along the primary dirt path. He stands near a deceased body and warns travelers to turn back before entering the undead-infested settlement. Confronting and defeating the Tibia Mariner boss inside the village causes D to move near the outskirts to offer further assistance.
Moving to the Roundtable Hold
If you miss meeting him in Limgrave or defeat the regional boss, D relocates to the main room inside the Roundtable Hold hub. Showing him a Deathroot item prompts him to mark a secret teleporter location on your world map. Once you visit Gurranq at the Bestial Sanctum using this portal, D becomes an active merchant selling powerful sacred spells.
Advancing the Weathered Dagger Quest
As you progress further through the main narrative and reach the Altus Plateau, Fia will entrust you with a unique Weathered Dagger. Returning this item to D causes him to move into a locked hallway inside the Roundtable Hold during his final chapter. Interacting with his body at the end of this event allows players to acquire his Twinned Armor set and Bell Bearing.
Finding D's Twin Brother
D's personal legacy continues through his twin brother, who can be found in the Siofra Aqueduct region within Nokron, Eternal City. Handing over the Twinned Armor set wakes the brother and allows him to be summoned for difficult boss encounters. Completing both brothers' storylines unlocks unique endgame rewards, including the formidable Inseparable Sword.
