Unlocking complete freedom in Stilwater is one of the most entertaining aspects of playing Saints Row 2 on the PlayStation 3. By utilizing built-in phone codes, players can easily manipulate gameplay, spawn rare vehicles, and secure unlimited resources. Understanding how to activate these cheats allows you to experience the classic open-world adventure with maximum excitement.
How to Enter Cheat Codes on PS3
To activate cheats in Saints Row 2, press the Up direction button on your PS3 controller to pull up the in-game cell phone. Select the Dial option and manually enter the specific numeric code corresponding to the cheat you wish to unlock. Once entered, hit Call to save the code directly into your phone's cheats menu for future activation.
After saving a code, you can toggle it on or off at any time by navigating to the Cheats category in the phone menu. Keep in mind that turning on any cheat code will immediately disable PlayStation Network trophies for that active save file. It is highly recommended to save your primary game progress separately before experimenting with any codes.
Popular Player Enhancement Codes
Player modification codes provide immediate combat advantages during tough gang wars and story missions. Entering code #1 gives full health, while #2 instantly replenishes your stamina bar for endless sprinting. If you want infinite weapons, dialing #9 unlocks full ammo capacity across all carried firearms.
For players who prefer chaos without consequences, entering #4 decreases your active police search level immediately. Conversely, if you want to test your combat skills, dialing #5 instantly raises police attention to maximum levels. These options allow you to tailor the difficulty of your gameplay experience instantly.
Spawning Vehicles and Custom Vehicles
Navigating the streets of Stilwater is much more enjoyable when you can spawn high-performance sports cars, attack helicopters, or heavy tanks instantly. Entering code #1056 spawns the powerful Spectre jet, giving you complete aerial dominance over the city skyline. Dialing #725 gives you immediate access to the heavily armored FBI vehicle for highway pursuits.
If you prefer unique transportation, typing #1040 spawns the famous Ambulance for quick medical thematic play. Every spawned vehicle lands directly in front of your character, allowing for immediate getaways during intense firefights. Exploring the vast city with rare rides becomes effortless once these numbers are saved in your phone directory.
World Effect Cheats for Extra Chaos
World manipulation codes offer funny and surreal gameplay alterations across the entire city environment. Dialing #1200 changes the game world weather to clear skies, while #1202 triggers intense rainstorms across Stilwater. Entering code #7 operates as a low-gravity modifier, sending cars and pedestrians floating into the air after light collisions.
Using these environmental toggles adds fresh replay value to casual roaming sessions outside main story quests. Combining low gravity with explosive weapons creates chaotic physics moments that make the PS3 version uniquely enjoyable. Experimenting with different cheat combinations ensures that no two gameplay sessions ever feel identical.
